Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed clinical team, supporting telehealth encounters and collaboration with the interprofessional team to meet diverse patient needs. This full-time night shift (7p–7a), 36 hours per week, requires a High School Diploma/GED and BLS, with LVHN onboarding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and interprofessional teamwork.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope.
• Knowledge of personal care and hygiene for quality of life.
• Awareness of patient safety risks and risk reduction.
• Respectful communication with diverse patients and families.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts and partnership with patients.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Shift: Full Time/Nights, 36 hours weekly (7p–7a).

Responsibilities

• Communicates with interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under licensed supervision.
• Promotes a safe patient care environment.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as virtual safety associate as needed.
• May assist clinical exams with telehealth tools and equipment.
