Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the 3 East IMC Unit. Full Time Nights (three 12-hour shifts, 7pm–7am) with every third weekend rotation.

The role provides patient care, vital signs, mobility, phlebotomy, EKG testing, specimen collection and Foley catheter management under RN supervision, in a Level III Trauma Center environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• HS high school grad or equivalent required.
• Completion of CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or related program or current clinical program for PCT considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with ADLs under RN supervision.
• Monitor vitals, mobility and ambulation; document changes.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKGs, specimen collection and Foley catheter management.
• Adhere to patient safety and care standards as part of an ACE leadership environment.
