Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Full-Time Patient Care Technician for the Resource Pool. Night shifts run 7p-7a with every third weekend and one summer and one winter holiday required.

A 10% floating differential is available for this department; final title reflects education, experience, and manager discretion at the offer time. Responsibilities include patient care, assisting with procedures and therapies, and reporting changes to the RN.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care including assisting with procedures and activities of daily living.
• Assists with physical, respiratory and cardiopulmonary therapies and communicates patient changes to the RN.
• Performs nursing core assistant responsibilities (blood glucose, weights, vital signs, I&O, specimen collection, Foley care).
• Maintains professional relationships and effective communication with other departments.
• Documents in the medical record according to established procedures.
• Supports safety policies and participates in unit activities and patient transport.
