Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Full Time Security Guard (Experienced Patrol Driver) in San Francisco, CA. You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, deter security incidents, and report concerns promptly while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional, people-first culture.

Requirements include 2+ years of related security or law enforcement experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up

Qualifications

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
