Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a part-time Patient Transport team member for Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. You will assist in preparing patients for transport, ensuring safety, and supporting nurses and dispatchers during moves.

Responsibilities include applying proper body mechanics, cleaning equipment, and delivering courteous, patient-focused service. CPR certification should be obtained within 90 days. This position requires weekend/holiday rotation and evening hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• CPR certification should be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for transport and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Operate within safety policies to protect patients and staff.
• Use proper body mechanics and lifting techniques when moving patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and sanitization after each use.
• Provide directions and assistance to patients and guests as needed.
• Communicate changes in patient schedules to dispatch and nursing staff.
