Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the department according to departmental protocols.
• Recognizes and reports patient care or safety concerns to appropriate staff.
• Maintains friendly but respectful relationships with patients and responds to their physical, psychological and social needs.
• Collaborates and communicates with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Transports deceased patients to the morgue when required by department.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of working area, stretchers, wheelchairs, IV poles and related equipment.
