Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, is seeking a Transportation Support Associate to safely transport patients between departments and support hospital operations. The role involves moving patients by wheelchair or stretcher, assisting with equipment, and coordinating with care teams to ensure timely patient flow.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, healthcare experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in healthcare.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients to and from departments as assigned.
• Assist with equipment requests and oxygen rounds.
• Notify nursing staff on arrival and verify patient identification.
• Transport equipment quickly and safely; disinfect and store after use.
• Monitor and report equipment issues to leadership and maintain infection control.
