Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking a part-time Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) for night shifts. The PSA will provide continuous observation for high-risk patients, assist with activities of daily living, and coordinate with the care team to ensure a safe environment and clear communication during hand-offs.

The role requires BLS-HCP certification (or within 60 days), 1+ year hospital experience preferred, and compliance with infection control policies.

Qualifications

• BLS-HCP certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval.
• 1+ year of experience working in a hospital setting preferred.
• Workplace Violence Prevention Training.
• Physical requirements include lifting and moving patients and equipment; standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous line of sight of the patient at all times.
• Accompany the patient to tests or procedures and stay with them until completion.
• Identify and report changes or concerns in patient status to the nurse.
• Report patient information during hand-offs with nursing present.
• Follow infection control policies and complete Environmental Safety Checklist each shift.
• For patients with suicidal ideation, provide constant one-on-one observation and remove risks from the room.
