Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) for Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, CO. This part-time night shift role includes weekend/holiday requirements and shift differentials.

The PSA provides continuous observation to high-risk patients, maintains a safe room, and supports the care team in patient safety and basic activities of daily living. The position requires staying with the patient at all times, reporting changes to nurses, and adhering to infection

Qualifications

• BLS-HCP certification required at hire or within 60 days with approval.
• One+ year of hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous line of sight of the patient at all times.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Accompany patient to tests or procedures and monitor until completion.
• Report changes in patient status to nurse promptly.
• Document patient information during hand-offs.
• Observe for self-harm or AMA considerations and communicate concerns.
• Follow infection control policies and complete safety checklists.
• Assist with mobilization and movement of patients when needed.
