Job summary

Freeman Health System in Arkansas is seeking a full-time Registration Specialist for night shifts (10:00pm–7:00am). You will register patients, conduct interviews, initiate financial counseling, collect payments, and verify insurance at the point of service.

You will be the primary contact for initial communications and support patients through the admissions process. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or two years of college) and at least 6 months of customer service experience,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or two years of college coursework.
• Minimum of 6 months customer service required.
• Knowledge of computers and standard office equipment required.
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute required.
• Preferred: Medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients presenting to Freeman Health System and collect registration information.
• Conduct patient interviews to obtain registration information and signatures.
• Initiate financial counseling and collect monies owed.
• Verify insurance at point of service and calculate patient estimates.
• Represent Freeman Health System as the focal point for all initial communications.
