Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or completion of two years of college.
• Minimum of 6 months customer service experience.
• Knowledge of computers and standard office equipment.
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
• Preferred: Medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Register patients presenting to Freeman Health System, collecting registration information and signatures.
• Verify insurance at point of service and calculate patient estimates.
• Initiate financial counseling and collect monies owed; collect copayments.
• Enter authorizations and verifications into the system and maintain data for billing.
• Assist customers with inquiries and communicate effectively to meet production goals.
