Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Medical Pulmonary Unit (Nights). Per Diem role requiring ability to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, with 24 weekend hours if needed. Orientation sessions are scheduled the first week.

Hours are 7:00pm-7:30am, with every other weekend. The role supports patient care under RN/LPN supervision, including vital signs, mobility assistance, and basic procedures.

Qualifications

• The applicant must have completed an accredited CNA course and CNA certification exam, EMT or paramedics training, or be enrolled in a nursing program with at least one clinical rotation.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience providing direct patient care and assisting with activities of daily living is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care needs (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting) under RN/LPN supervision.
• Support patient mobility and comfort using proper body mechanics and safe handling.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, accu-checks, and report abnormalities to nursing staff.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transports, and answering unit phones as needed.
