Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health in Evanston Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician to assist on the Postpartum unit. You will work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care, take vital signs, and support with basic tasks and discharge prep.

The role requires CNA training or nursing clinical rotation and current BLS certification. Evening/night shifts with weekend rotation are included.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited CNA training course preferred.
• One nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in delivering patient care on the Postpartum unit.
• Take Vital Signs, e.g., BP and glucose, and support patient comfort.
• Support discharge prep and basic treatments under RN supervision.
