Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician Unit Secretary for an evening, part-time role (24 hours). The position supports newborn care in the Special Care Nursery under RN supervision, with duties including infant feedings and patient comfort.

Evening shifts 3 pm–11 pm, rotating weekends and holidays, with travel within the Family Birthing Center as needed. Requires HS diploma, CNA/BLS or nursing rotation, strong math and interpersonal skills, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification: BLS CPR certification and CNA or six months patient care experience or nursing clinical rotation.
• Attends patient care skills tasks related to infant feedings.
• Strong math skills for preparing infant feedings.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork and communication.
• Attend in-depth orientation regarding patient care skills tasks.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs patient care tasks ensuring patient comfort, safety and care.
• Performs infant feeding tasks under RN or Dietitian supervision in the Special Care Nursery.
