Job summary

Sentara Health in Virginia Beach is hiring a Patient Care Technician to join the Surgery Unit at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. This full-time night position (7pm–7am) includes every other weekend and supports nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care.

You will observe patients, assist with admissions and discharges, and report changes to the supervising nurse. Eligible candidates include CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, EMR/EMS/EKG training, or current students in clinical programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to the nurse.
