Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Medicine Unit 6. This full-time, night-shift position supports nursing staff and helps with patient care, admissions, and discharge under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Eligible certifications include CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, Navy Hospital Corps School, or EMS/EMT/AEMT. Prior health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification options include CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, Navy Hospital Corps School, EMS/EMT/AEMT, or current clinical student status.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a professional nurse.
• Assist with admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report changes to the nurse.
