Job summary

CentraState Medical Center's Behavioral Health Unit in Freehold, NJ is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the night shift. You will provide skilled basic nursing care and 1:1 observation under RN supervision in an acute adult psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities emphasize safety, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and caring for patients aged 18+. The role requires CNA/PCT training or current enrollment in a nursing program and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year nursing assistant healthcare experience required OR CNA/PCT training OR current nursing program enrollment.
• CPR certification is required; glucose certification provided during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide considerate, respectful patient care to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing care.
• Document patient data and report changes to RN.
• Observe patient condition and notify nurse of pain or changes.
• Support unit operations by floating between units as needed.
