Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nurse Aide for the Milwaukee, WI area to assist patients with daily living and personal care. The role requires reporting changes to nursing staff and documenting necessary records, while keeping patient rooms clean and the equipment maintained. The position is full-time for night shifts in Columbia St.

Mary's Hospital's Med Surg Neuro department. Required BLS within 30 days and Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry credentials, with substitutions allowed by licensure.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide credential from Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry; CNA credential with hospital eligibility.
• Other certifications may be required by location.
• Note: required licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff and document records.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly and maintain medical equipment.

Education

High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
