Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. This night shift, full-time role involves direct patient care, care planning, and interdisciplinary coordination to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include implementing care plans, documenting changes, and supporting discharge planning while adhering to policies, procedures, and clinical protocols. A valid WI RN license and BLS certification are required at or before hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Registered Nurse credential from Wisconsin Board of Nursing required before hire or transfer date.
• Multi-state/Compact state license acceptable if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per organizational policies and clinical protocols.
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans; document changes in condition.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and act as liaison among healthcare team.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assist with discharge planning.
