Zusammenfassung

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Hematology/Oncology Unit in the 14 East Tower. The role requires assisting RNs, maintaining safety, and delivering compassionate patient care during 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with weekends included.

A high school diploma and current BLS are required, with prior clinical training welcomed. The unit emphasizes teamwork, thorough documentation, and swift communication across shifts, leveraging EPIC for

Qualifikationen

High school diploma or equivalent.
Maintain current BLS certification.
Prior formal clinical training (CMA, CNA, PCT, EMT).
Successful completion of the institutional screening examination.
Ability to solve simple problems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Aufgaben

Assist the RN in the delivery of patient care.
Maintain a safe patient environment and set priorities based on patient needs.
Document all care in real-time at the point of care.
Assist with admission, discharge, and transport of patients.
Demonstrate aseptic technique and assist with advanced procedures.
Operate EPIC and monitor devices; keep unit stocked and organized.
