Job summary

South Baldwin Medical Group is seeking a Patient Care Technician for full-time night shifts in Foley, Alabama. The role supports RN/LPN staff by assisting with activities of daily living, data collection, and patient safety in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years in acute care or are enrolled in a nursing program, with BCLS certification within 90 days. CNA or CPCT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire required
• CNA certification preferred or CPCT certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment
• Collects and records patient data including vital signs and intake/output
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, and daily activities
• Assists with patient positioning and use of mobility aids
• Performs glucose monitoring and urine/stool sample collection as directed
• Communicates patient information to the care team and reports findings to RN/LPN/LVN
• Adheres to infection control and PPE procedures and participates in safety initiatives
• Maintains regular attendance and supports policy compliance
