Job summary

Baptist Health in Prattville, a leading hospital system in central Alabama, is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Med/Surg unit on the Night Shift. You will support RNs, LPNs and physicians in routine patient care tasks and help maintain a safe, efficient care environment.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma; CNA program completion preferred; BLS required; completion of first clinical rotation or one year of acute care patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a certified Nursing Assistant Program or a Health Occupations Program (HOSA) preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation or 1 year of patient care experience in acute care, nursing home or home care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine and non-complex aspects of patient care.
• Assist RNs, LPNs, and Physicians in the patient care process.
• May have additional duties assigned within scope of the role.
