Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Patient Care Technician for three 12-hour night shifts in our Advanced Acute Care Medical Trauma Unit. The role emphasizes direct patient care, ADLs, vital signs, and teamwork on a busy unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program preferred.
• BLS certification within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility tasks.
• Monitor vital signs and daily weights as directed.
• Perform point of care testing and sample collection.
• Turn, reposition, and provide comfort care to patients.
• Assist with catheter removal and IV management.
• Support care team with documentation and patient safety.
