Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the GI/GU Surgery unit in Fort Worth, TX. You will work full-time nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) for 36 hours/week, with weekend and holiday requirements.

Position requires CLIA/Education equivalency, PCT training or THR approved program, and EMT or nursing student status as applicable. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care per plan, data collection, and collaboration with nurses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CLIA regulations compliance for foreign education equivalency required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA/NAHP/NCCT accredited program or THR approved program required at hire.
• EMT training or equivalent required at hire.
• Other nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program required at hire.
• BCLS certification required prior to patient care and renewed quarterly.
• CPI training required and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care based on plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data and supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and meets patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participates in process improvement and adheres to safety goals.
