Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for Med Surg, nights PRN, to provide compassionate patient care and support per the plan of care. You will perform data collection, admissions, and safety procedures while collaborating with nurses.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or Equivalent, CNA upon hire, BCLS, CPI, and PCT training. The hospital offers benefits and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• CNA - Certified Nurse Aide Upon Hire Required
• PCT Training Program Upon Hire Required
• Other Junior I or higher level Nursing student with proof of completion on nursing fundamentals Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support according to the plan of care.
• Collect patient data, report findings to the nurse, and communicate per department expectations.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge with accurate documentation.
• Perform procedures safely, enter orders when applicable, and minimize patient risk.
• Collaborate with nurses and disciplines to accommodate diverse patient needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adapt to scheduling changes, and support a positive work environment.
• Pursue professional development and participate in process improvements and safety goals.
