Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for Med Surg. This role supports nursing care, assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges, and helps maintain a safe patient environment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, CLIAFE compliance, PCT training or EMT/related credentials, BCLS and CPI training, and strong communication skills for diverse patient needs. Night shifts, 36 hours/week, with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited program or THR approved program.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data, supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proactively meets patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participates in process improvement, adheres to safety goals, and advocates for patients.
