Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn seeks a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the Emergency Department night shift. You will assist the professional nurse in patient care, ensuring safe, compassionate support and maintaining supplies and environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, PCT/CNA training, and CPR certification. Training within 3 months, teamwork and clear communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with hospital experience preferred or CNA with relevant training.
• BLS/CPR certification required upon entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in direct patient care and comfort.
• Support unit efficiency and maintain supplies and environment.
• Participate in data collection for quality improvement.
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges per unit policy.
• Demonstrate respectful communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Perform bedside tasks including phlebotomy and ECG as assigned.
