Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the care delivery team under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will provide delegated direct patient care, perform sterile and non-sterile procedures, and help maintain a safe, patient‑centered environment.

You will document care, report changes to the RN, and participate in ongoing education as part of the department. This is a full‑time, non‑exempt, night shift role with a 12‑hour schedule and a 36‑hour work

Qualifications

• Completed first semester in accredited nursing program or completed medical assistant/PCT program.
• Active certification (CMA/MA/RMA/CNA/EMT) may substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote health and wellness.
• Communicate pertinent patient data to staff in a timely manner.
• Promote infection prevention and proper hand hygiene.
• Assist with activities of daily living and document vital signs.
• Demonstrate caring relationships and ethical practice.
