Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician to assist the nursing team during the night shift. You will support RNs by performing sterile and non-sterile procedures, monitor patients, document observations, and help maintain a safe, patient-centered environment.

Applicants should have completed at least the first semester of an accredited nursing program or have a related medical assistant/PCT certification and prior experience in clinic or hospital

Qualifications

• First semester of an accredited nursing program completed or in progress.
• Completion of a medical assistant, patient care technician, CMA, CMA certification may substitute for education.
• Active Kansas certification as CMA/MA/CNA or EMT may substitute for education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurse with direct patient care and delegated tasks.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to RN.
• Document activities and observations accurately.
• Support infection prevention and standard precautions in care delivery.
• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs.
