Job summary

Adventist HealthCare seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for Med Surg to support our mission of extending God’s care through healing of body, mind, and spirit. You will perform vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and follow care plans under RN supervision.

The role requires Maryland CNA license, BLS, a high school diploma, and strong English skills. Prior acute care experience is preferred; computer literacy is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CNA program completion and CNA exam passed.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Effective command of English language (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to meet job requirements of lifting, bending and turning.
• Experience in acute care clinical setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Receive report from the Registered Nurse.
• Ensure a culture of safety and report malfunctions or expired equipment.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and properly stored.
• Participate in department and organizational education programs and meetings.
