Mercy Health's St. Rita's Medical Center CCU is seeking a Patient Care Technician for full-time night shifts (7pm–7am) with every 3rd weekend. The PCT provides basic care, monitors vitals, and supports patients under RN supervision.

Essential duties include assisting with hygiene, mobility, documentation, and ensuring smooth handoffs. Prior CNA/STNA or nursing program background is preferred, with BLS ongoing. EPIC EHR training is valued.

Qualificações

• Recent experience in acute care or similar healthcare setting.
• Completion of nursing aide training program or STNA/CNA or nursing program.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred (must obtain before direct patient care).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, mobility assistance.
• Liaise between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients and families.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR.
• Participate in hand-offs and shift-change reporting.
• Assist with safe patient transfers using therapeutic techniques.
• Encourage independence and personalize care based on patient interests.
