Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the HFAM8 Advanced Acute Care Cardiovascular Unit in Danville. The ACE model expands nursing support roles to enhance patient care under licensed supervision, with on-the-job training provided. No experience required.

Schedule: three 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm–7:30am) with every other weekend and holiday; competitive benefits start on day one; opportunities for growth and career advancement within Geisinger.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with the care team.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and follow supervision.
• Ability to perform ADLs and basic patient care tasks.
• Capable of handling sensitive patient information.

Responsibilities

• Being the primary facilitator of ADLs: hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals.
• Collecting vital signs & daily weights.
• Turning & repositioning patients.
• Performing equipment checks & exchanges.
• Dressing care and removal of catheters/IVs.
• Discharge follow-up and coordinating with team.
