Job summary

Includes phlebotomy, glucose monitoring, and ECG tasks with emphasis on compassionate care. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, hospital PCT experience or CNA with relevant training, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience.
• CNA graduate with course in EKG & Phlebotomy or PCT certification eligible + 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS/Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required upon entry to the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses in patient care tasks with safety and compassion.
• Support unit with supplies, equipment and environment maintenance.
• Document patient data and assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Provide timely response to patient calls and requests for assistance.
• Maintain clean, safe patient rooms and unit areas.
