Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for Unit 3600 Evening shift. You will assist the nurse in patient care, support unit safety, and contribute to compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, PCT/CNA with relevant training, CPR/BLS, and hospital experience. The role offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive, inclusive work environment within the NYU Langone Health system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• PCT program graduate with at least 6 months hospital experience or CNA graduate with EKG & Phlebotomy course and PCT cert eligible plus 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS/CPR certification (AHA) required on entry or upon hire.
• PCT online program to be completed within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nurse in patient care and family support.
• Maintain supplies, equipment and environment safely and cleanly.
• Support unit Quality and Performance Improvement data collection.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and staff.
• Provide phlebotomy and EKG-related tasks as assigned.
• Attend unit meetings and complete mandatory education.
