Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part‑time Nursing Assistant to support 7p–7:30a on a night schedule at Advocate Sherman Hospital. The role includes patient care tasks, routine documentation, and collaboration with RNs to ensure safety and comfort.

Requirements include GED/HSED or high school diploma and BLS; Nurse Aide in good standing is also required. Benefits eligible with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to document in EMR.
• Excellent communication, both oral and written.
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization ability.
• Must maintain nursing certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs; document in EMR accurately.
• Perform rounds and relay observations to RN with any concerns.
• Aid in admission, transfer and discharge activities under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point‑of‑care testing per procedure.
• Handle errands, restock supplies, and maintain clean work areas.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and ensuring call lights are reachable.
