Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the General Internal Medicine unit. The role supports adult and geriatric patients, assists with daily living activities, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment.

The shift is 7p–7a, three 12-hour nights per week, with a focus on teamwork and precise patient information updates. As part of a 25-bed medical oncology unit, you will participate in multidisciplinary care, complete vital signs,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Prefer at least one year of healthcare experience.
• Must pass pre-employment skills test as required by HR.

Responsibilities

• Act as a member of a multidisciplinary team to identify and address patient care needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living, patient mobilization, admissions/discharges, and obtaining vital signs.
• Update and retrieve patient information accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment.
• Function as part of an assigned care team.
• Other duties as assigned.
