The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the General Internal Medicine unit. The role supports adult and geriatric patients, assists with daily living activities, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment.

The shift is 7p–7a, three 12-hour nights per week, with a focus on teamwork and precise patient information updates. As part of a 25-bed medical oncology unit, you will participate in multidisciplinary care, complete vital signs,

Patient Care Technician - General Internal Medicine - 7p - 7a

The General Internal Medicine unit is a 25-bed medical oncology unit providing care to adult and geriatric patients ranging in age from 18 - 95. Four monitored beds are designated for melanoma, renal cell carcinoma, sarcoma, cervical, ovarian, thoracic and pancreatic cancer patients receiving high-dose bolus interleukin-2 and/or targeted cellular therapy requiring cardiac monitoring. Primary populations treated include: melanoma, sarcoma and GI patients receiving complex chemotherapeutic and bio-immunotherapeutic regimens and all solid tumor cancer patients receiving immune effector cell therapy.

Ideal candidate

has a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one year of healthcare experience. They work well on a care team, assisting with patient activities, vital signs, and maintaining a safe environment while ensuring accurate patient information updates.

Working Hours

The working hours for this role will be 7p-7a. It will be 3 days a week at 12hrs a day.
