Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support patient care, family communication, and teamwork in a world‑renowned cancer center. The role emphasizes compassion, efficiency, and safe handling of patients and materials.

Shift is 3:00pm–11:30pm, Monday–Friday with occasional weekend rotation; orientation runs 6:30am–3:00pm for about eight weeks. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, PTO, tuition assistance, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: Prior Procedural or Operating Room experience.
• Preferred: CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and prepares the surgical environment for assigned patient(s).
• Provides direct patient care according to performance standards.
• Cleans and turns over the OR and prepares the room for the next patient.
• Performs transport and supply responsibilities according to standards.
