Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician for night shifts. Under nurse supervision, you will support routine patient care and delegated procedures within competency guidelines. Responsibilities include assisting with dressing, transporting patients, monitoring vital signs, and reporting abnormal findings to the nursing team.

Qualifications include a CNA certification and BLS. One year of clinical experience or intern completion is required.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• BLS certification provided by approved organization.
• One year of clinical experience or completion of the intern program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient with changing/dressing.
• Transport the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings that could affect surgical outcomes.
• Report all abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Assist with patient changing and removal of belongings.
• Verify patient information.
• Orient patients and families to the environment.
• Obtain vital signs.
