Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Dallas is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) in Medical-Surgical for full-time nights. This role supports the nursing staff by providing basic patient care and ensuring comfort and safety for patients in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and PCT training or certification; EMT or nursing student with Fundamentals may apply. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of PCT experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• PCT training program or THR approved program required or not required to maintain certification after hire.
• EMT or nursing student with fundamentals may apply.
• BCLS and CPI training required; CPI annually 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and moving patients.
• Assist in admission, transfer, discharge and documentation.
• Maintain safe patient environment and accurate records.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to meet patient needs.
