Job summary

Atlantic Health System's Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7 PM–7 AM) in Oncology. You will monitor patients, administer medications, maintain records, educate patients and collaborate with the care team.

Responsibilities include administering meds, tracking vitals, updating care plans, and contributing to patient safety and quality care within a multidisciplinary oncology unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred (BSN).
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred (MSN).
• ACLS certification preferred.
• 1+ year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans with the healthcare team.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

Current RN Licensure

BLS certification

BSN preferred

MSN preferred

ACLS certification

1+ year nursing experience
