Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department in Plainfield. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 1:00pm to 1:00am and rotating holidays/weekends.

You will work under an RN to provide direct patient care, ensuring safety and comfort across ED patients. Qualified candidates will have CPR certification and relevant experience, with EMT-B preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification: Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Preferred EMT-B certification.
• Experience: six months of patient care experience or completion of nursing assistant training or EMT-B course.
• Care Companion Course completion within six months if required by the department.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities; ability to prioritize and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks under RN guidance to ensure safety and comfort.
• Assist with activities of daily living and necessary procedures as directed.
• Maintain clear communication and teamwork with the ED staff.
