Job summary

Endeavor Health's Edward Hospital in Naperville is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department evening shift. Under RN supervision, you perform patient care tasks to support comfort and safety.

The role requires CPR certification; EMT-B preferred; six months of patient care experience or nursing rotation; strong teamwork and ability to follow directions. Full-time, 36 hours weekly, night shift and rotating holidays/weekends.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Preferred EMT-B Certification
• Experience: completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or equivalent or EMT-B course
• Ability to receive and follow directions and work well in a team

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.
