Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department night shift. Under RN guidance, you perform patient care tasks to support comfort and safety, during a 7pm-7:30am schedule with rotating holidays and weekends.

Candidates should have CPR certification; EMT-B preferred; experience as CNA or EMT-B course; completion of nursing assistant training; strong teamwork and ability to follow directions. The role includes benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Preferred EMT-B certification.
• Experience: successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation or successful completion of EMT-B course.
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when required by department.

Responsibilities

• Under RN guidance, performs patient care tasks and procedures to provide for patient care, comfort and safety.
• Assists with patient care activities as directed within established procedures.
