Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Patient Care Tech for a full-time night shift. The role supports nursing care under supervision, assists with admissions and discharges, and monitors patient conditions.

Three 12-hour shifts include rotating weekends and holidays. Qualifications include CNA/NCMA/NCPCT certifications and clinical program involvement; one year hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA/NCMA/NCPCT certification requirements as listed.
• Current student in a clinical program with at least one semester completed.
• Recent hospital or patient-care experience preferred within last three years.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a professional nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes and ensure patient safety.
• Observe patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report changes to the nurse.
• Comply with patient safety practices under guidance of a licensed clinician.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)

National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)

US Navy Hospital Corps School / EMR / EMS / EMT / AEMT / Paramedic

Clinical program participation (RN/LPN/RT/PT)

PCT/Nursing Assistant experience (last 3 years)

1 year hospital experience (preferred)
