Job summary

IU Health is looking for a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to provide compassionate bedside care on a full-time night shift. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, measuring vital signs, and supporting RNs in a busy hospital environment.

Applicants should have current Basic Life Support certification and strong communication skills to ensure patient safety and high-quality care at all times.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS certification through the AHA.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide drinks, assist with meals, encourage walking, assist with baths, and change linens for patients.
• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to the bedside RN.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts, alarms, and staying within reach.
