Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking Night Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to support the Acuity Adaptable Unit. You will work as a clinical support partner, assisting the patient care team with basic nursing tasks and coordinating care with licensed staff.

Responsibilities include routine patient care, feeding, hygiene, and telemetry support as needed; you may act as a Health Unit Coordinator and manage unit communications and records. Night shifts with differential pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, fresh water and ice, ambulating, comfort measures, and other patient needs, while providing excellent customer service when responding to patient and family requests.
• Reports and records patient care findings and data in a timely manner; responds to changes in patient condition and requests assistance as needed.
• May perform telemetry duties and monitor patients as required, collaborating with the care team.
• Transport medications from the delivery system to the RN as required on the unit.
• Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities, including phones, orders, unit records, and supplies.
• Implement plan of care as delegated and perform duties within scope and regulatory standards.
• Maintain safety by following policy and emergency protocols.
