Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a full-time Day shift Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team on an Acuity Adjustable Unit. You will deliver basic patient care and collaborate with the RN to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires good communication, strong computer literacy, and adherence to safety standards; CNA certification and BLS are preferred, with potential weekend/holiday responsibilities and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, fresh water and ice, ambulating and comfort measures.
• Report and records patient care findings and data in a timely manner.
• Monitor patient condition and seek assistance as needed.
• May perform telemetry duties and function as a health unit coordinator if assigned.
• Collaborate with the RN and team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume responsibilities of a health unit coordinator (phones, orders, records).
• Maintain a safe environment by following safety policies and emergency actions.
