Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred.
• AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent is required/preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare environment is required.
• Foundations/clinical nursing course with one clinical rotation is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, direct patient care and monitor patient conditions.
• Support patient comfort, hygiene, and safety needs.
• Follow nursing/medical plans of care and hospital policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, stocked clinical area and equipment.
• Assist with collection of specimens for diagnostic tests.
• Engage in patient safety initiatives and document patient information.
• Communicate patient status and changes to the health care team.
• Assist with feeding, hydration, and mobility as needed.
• Demonstrate respectful rapport with patients, families, and staff.
• Support shift operations and attend mandatory trainings.
