Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in the St. Louis region seeks a Certified Nurse Assistant or equivalent to provide direct patient care on night shifts. The role supports licensed nurses and contributes to a safe, patient-centered environment.

Ideal candidates have CNA or nursing assistant experience, and are prepared to work in a high-acuity hospital setting with rotations including weekends and holidays. The position is benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under nurse supervision, assists with ADLs, vital signs, and tests.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes to the nurse.
• Educates patients and families; documents care with proper terminology.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available to meet patient needs.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory activities.
